At the Center for Health & Bioresources, we address the challenges of demographic change, resource scarcity, and environmental pollution by developing innovative solutions that enable early disease diagnosis and support healthy and active aging.

 

The main focus of our Competence Unit Bioresources is the exploration of plant-based and microbial resources to better address current challenges in plant production and the food sector, and to develop new approaches for more sustainable agricultural and food systems. A particular emphasis is placed on microbiomes – especially plant-associated microbiota – whose functions we analyze in order to develop innovative application technologies.

 

For our location in Tulln (in immediate vicinity to Vienna) we are seeking a:

Business Development in the Field of "Plant & Food Systems & Bioeconomy Innovation"

CENTER FOR HEALTH & BIORESOURCES

  • Through your experience in business development, you contribute to the commercialisation of research and novel technologies (particularly microbial based) in the fields of plant production, food systems, and the bioeconomy.
  • Furthermore, you support the team in positioning research competencies and in building and maintaining client networks.
  • You work with research teams to identify opportunities for contract research, pinpoint national and international market segments, and actively pursue them.
  • You also contribute to the development and implementation of business models for the economic utilisation of research services and innovations.
  • You shape research directions strategically and support the team with your industry network.
  • You play a central role in acquiring contract projects and managing client relationships.
  • You establish customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • You contribute to the national and international positioning of our research topics.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • Degree or experience in environmental biotechnology or in the agricultural or food sector
  • Experience in customer relationship management and business development, ideally in the agricultural or food sector
  • Knowledge and experience in technological processes
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong team spirit, commitment, a responsible approach to work, as well as empathy and a talent for networking

 

What to expect:

The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 63.798,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
