Our Center for Digital Safety & Security is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in Vienna. Within the Competence Unit Cyber Security & Communication Technologies, the Research Field Dependable Systems Engineering (DSE) focuses on studying and developing methodologies, tools and standards for increasing, verifying and validating the dependability of software and systems - during conception, development, certification and operation.

Frontend Developer (f/m/d) for Threat Analysis Software

CENTER FOR DIGITAL SAFETY & SECURITY

  • You will work on front-end development and UI/UX design concepts.
  • You will integrate front-end and back-end components by connecting and deploying REST APIs.
  • You will implement automated software tests, including unit, integration, end-to-end (E2E), and API tests.
  • You will contribute to our research topics by supporting various research and industry projects.
  • The tools and methods you help develop will be used in various projects and made available to clients.
  • Your innovative results actively contribute to the success of our current research projects and to the establishment of new business models and concepts.
  • You independently familiarize yourself with new subject matter and integrate knowledge from various fields.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • A completed technical degree (at least an MSc.) in a computer science-related field (e.g., Software Engineering)
  • A keen sense for user-friendly, intuitive, and appealing user interfaces (UI/UX design)
  • Excellent knowledge of software development and related technologies (TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Git)
  • Knowledge of safety and security, particularly in the context of threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA), is a plus
  • A strong interest in applied research and solving real-world problems; ideally, prior project experience in this context
  • Strong commitment and excellent team player
  • Very good English skills (spoken and written); German skills are a nice to have.

 

What to expect: 

  • The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 61.334,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
